Erica Shields
2013-2014 State President
Erica T. Shields is rising senior at Huntingtown High School in Calvert County, MD. This year Erica is eager as your new State President and her local chapter's President for two years now. Having alumni as siblings, she was the first of her graduating class to join FBLA. After attending her first NFLC in Washington, D.C., Erica had finally found her passion. She then went on to become the only sophomore on her local officer team fulfilling the position of Treasurer. She has also attended every NFLC, SFLC, SLC, and NLC since her freshman year. Erica has won numerous local and state awards, including being a three-time regional and state placing competitor along with her completion of the Future and Leader level of the Business Achievement Awards. She is an A.P. and honors student as well as an active member of Best Buddies, Key Club, Academy of Finance, Sophomore Student Council, Student Senate, Tutoring Programs, and Huntingtown's Volleyball Manager. Erica maintains a 3.9 GPA, while participating in her school’s Varsity Basketball, Tennis, Track and Mock Trial teams. Erica looks forward to a year of Excellence in Action and taking her chapter and Maryland State FBLA to an epic level. |
Megan Bunn
2013-2014 State Vice President
Megan Bunn, a senior at Huntingtown High School in Calvert County, is honored and thrilled to serve as your State Vice President for the 2013-2014 school year! Megan has been involved in FBLA since her freshman year, and since has served in multiple officer positions and as the chair person for many committees. She has received numerous awards at the Regional and State level in Desktop Publishing and Public Speaking. Outside of FBLA, Megan is an officer in Student Class Council and is heavily involved in theatre and chorus, performing at the regional, state and national levels. She is an honors and AP student and maintains a 3.8 GPA. She is beyond excited to set into motion the goals the State Officer Team has set to Put Excellence into Action in Maryland FBLA this school year! |
Natalie Tran
2013-2014 State Secretary-Treasurer
Natalie Tran, a senior at River Hill High School in Clarksville, Maryland, is honored to serve at the local, state, and national level. Natalie started her FBLA career at River Hill as Freshman Ambassador and has worked up the ranks to serve as Chapter President, State Secretary Treasurer, and National Eastern Region Vice President. For her, this is no ordinary high school club; this organization has allowed her to grow and develop into a true leader. A four-time local officer and two-time state officer, Natalie definitely has a passion for this organization. She wants to give back to the organization that has helped her so much along the way, and is excited to contribute to FBLA-PBL in any way she can. Jenna Pilarchik
2013-2014 State Reporter-Historian
Jenna Pilarchik is a senior at River Hill High School. She has been a member of FBLA since her sophomore year and is so thankful for all the opportunities FBLA has offered her. She is Maryland FBLA's 2013-2014 Reporter-Historian and her chapter's Secretary. As a junior she was her chapter's Historian and it inspired her to run for the state position. She is very excited to join you to put Excellence in Action. Jenna is a member of National Honor Society and maintains a GPA of 3.5. Jenna enjoys art and photography. Jenna is ready to report the events of the year and is excited to document this very fun year! Tyler Graybill
2013-2014 Region 2 Vice President
Tyler Graybill is an incoming Junior at Hereford High School. He is currently the chapter president at Hereford and region 2 Vice President. He joined the FBLA program as a Freshman in 2010. Tyler hopes to expand his knowledge in business and help grow the FBLA program. His future goals include running a successful FBLA chapter, continue high academic scores, college entrances into business schools, and enter the field of business administration. |
Jessica Lukeman
2013-2014 Region 3 Vice President
Jessica Lukeman, a senior at North East High School in Cecil County, is honored to serve as your 2013-2014 Maryland FBLE Region 3 Vice President. Along with being the Region 3 Vice President, Jessica serves as Vice President in her local chapter. As State Officer, she plans in helping the State Officer team in improving membership for years to come. Jessica is also a three-time placing competitor at states, and a two-time National competitor! With last year being Jessica’s first year serving on her local officer team, she managed to lead her chapter to new heights and hopes to do the same for Maryland FBLA. Jessica plans to increase communication throughout her large region, and successfully host her first Regional Conference! Jessica is looking forward to making an impact and help out Excellence in Action with Maryland FBLA! |
Skylar Mealing
2013-2014 Region 4 Vice President
Skylar Mealing is a senior at Northern High School in Calvert County, Maryland and this year's 2013-2014 Region 4 Vice President. She is also the president of the Northern High School Future Business Leaders of America. Outside of FBLA, she is the Editor in Chief of the Northern High School Patriot Press and a member of the National Honors Society. She also plans on going to a four year accredited university and majoring in Journalism (print) and minoring in Economics. She is looking forward to a fantastic year for Region 4 and FBLA as a whole. |
Payal Pubbi
2013-2014 Region 5 Vice President
Payal Pubbi is a senior at Atholton High School in Howard County, Maryland and she is the 2013-2014 Region 5 Vice President. Along with this, she is also her local chapter’s President. After joining FBLA as a freshman, she realized she had found her passion, and then became her chapter’s Public Relation’s Agent. Then she decided that she wanted to take on a role at the state level, so she first became a member of SPDC. Then, at the 2013 State Leadership Conference, she ran for and was elected Region 5 Vice President. She has achieved numerous awards, at both the regional and state levels for FBLA, and she is currently working on her Gold Award for Girl Scouts. Payal is an AP and honors student, as well as a member of National Honor Society and French National Honor Society, and the newly appointed Editor in Chief for her school yearbook. Payal is excited to promote excellence in action this year in her local chapter as well as Maryland State FBLA! |
