This year's team is diverse which is driving them to work stronger together and build a Program of Work that provides chapters a year filled with "A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITY"! Daniela Pena
State President 

Daniela Pena, a senior at South River High School in Anne Arundel County, is proud to be serving Maryland FBLA along with her peers, colleagues, and the state officer team. S Through FBLA and a dedicated local chapter advisor, she has made great friends, wonderful memories, and big accomplishments. She aims to return the favor by ensuring all present and future members of FBLA are able to experience all that FBLA has to offer. Daniela enjoys exploring the world, whether it be through travel, people’s stories, or literary means. She promises to work hard and be passionate about everything she does for FBLA from the smallest task to the largest endeavor.

Aaron Ren
State Reporter-Historian 

Aaron Ren, a junior at Dulaney High School in Baltimore County, is thrilled to serve as your 2021-22 State Reporter-Historian. After joining FBLA in his freshman year, he became quickly involved, by being introduced to the wide variety of opportunities offered on the local, state, and national levels. Witnessing the amazing student leaders all around FBLA encouraged him to run for office and serve the FBLA members within Maryland. Outside of FBLA, Aaron enjoys playing tennis, photography, and volunteering in his community. Aaron hopes to work alongside the State Officer Team to make this upcoming year an enjoyable and memorable experience for all the members within Maryland FBLA and is ready and excited to work diligently to make this the best year for Maryland FBLA yet.

Noah Duncan
​REGION 2 VICE PRESIDENT

Noah Duncan, a junior from Eastern Technical High School in Baltimore County, is honored to be your next Region 2 Vice President. Joining FBLA in his freshman year, he had no idea the journey it would take him- so far he’s been a two-time chapter officer, two-time SLC attendee, an NLC attendee, and now a state officer!  He plans to use this experience to aid him as he serves as his chapter president for the 2021-2022 school year, and as a member of the state officer team. Apart from school, he loves hiking and playing the violin. Noah feels incredibly lucky and grateful to have had this opportunity to help lead such an amazing organization, and can’t wait to see what MDFBLA goes on to accomplish!

Aamaly Hossain
State Vice President

Aamaly Hossain, a senior at Northern High School in Calvert County, is honored to serve as your 2021-22 State Vice President. She became engaged to this organization as an eighth grader, serving as Northern Middle’s Treasurer. Aamaly was not only intrigued by the countless opportunities and amazing experiences she gained in middle school and again in high school, but the work done to improve Maryland FBLA. While serving Maryland FBLA last year and again this year, Aamaly is thrilled to work alongside this brilliant State Officer team! It’s surreal being in this leadership position and she had never thought that she could have come this far but, “if you believe it, you CAN achieve it.”

John Hooker 
State parliamentarian 

John Hooker, a senior at South River High School in Anne Arundel County, is proud to serve as your 2021-2022 State Parliamentarian. He has been a member of FBLA since his sophomore year and has grown to love the competitions, the organization, and most importantly the people. After serving as the Vice President of Archives for his local chapter, John wanted to take a more active role in the organization and put his mind to participating on the state level. He can not believe how much he has learned through his interesting years with the opportunities that FBLA has given him. John will work hard to ensure that any FBLA member has as positive and memorable an experience as he has had.  He looks forward to the future of Maryland FBLA and promises to do all that he can to make this a fantastic year!

Caroline Finn
​REGION 3 VICE PRESIDENT

Caroline Finn, a Sophomore at South River High School in Anne Arundel County, is proud to be serving as your 2021-2022 Region 3 Vice President. After joining her schools’ FBLA chapter as a Freshman, she immediately felt at home in the dynamic and creative environment of FBLA, and looks forward to utilizing the leadership skills she has developed through her participation in FBLA throughout her term. Be it a regional, state, or national conference, FBLA never ceases to impress, and Caroline is truly thrilled to contribute to that same caliber of excellence.  This past year was truly like no other, but with determination, proactivity, and teamwork, Caroline is confident that this next year FBLA will be a spectacular one.

Ashok Kadagala 
​REGION 5 VICE PRESIDENT

Ashok Kadagala, a senior at Howard High School in Howard County, is honored to serve as your 2021-2022 Region 5 Vice President. He joined FBLA his freshman year in search of growing and expanding his already present business knowledge and passion. After attending the Regional, State, and National leadership conferences his freshman year and seeing the scope of the organization, his dedication grew as he served as his local chapter’s Vice President allowing him to help grow and maintain his chapter, This motivated him to run for state officer and to serve his region on the state board. Outside of FBLA Ashok enjoys playing soccer and robotics. Ashok is excited to work alongside the amazing State Officer Team to help grow FBLA in Maryland and his region.

Laura Zhang
State Secreatry​-Treasurer

Laura Zhang, a junior at River Hill High School, is excited to serve as your 2021-22 State Secretary-Treasurer. Laura joined FBLA as a freshman, hoping to learn more about the business world and meet new people. Since then, she has had the opportunity to attend conferences, earn rewards, and serve as a chapter officer. From the two years she has been involved in FBLA, Laura has developed a passion for FBLA and for serving its members. She hopes to provide more opportunities for students to succeed on the local, state, and national level. Aside from FBLA. Laura enjoys baking, playing music, and spending time with friends and family. She looks forward to working with the incredible State Officer Team to make FBLA even greater this year!

Sam Grubb 
​REGION 1 VICE PRESIDENT

Sam Grubb, a senior at Manchester Valley High School in Carroll County, is excited to serve as your 2021-2022 Region 1 Vice President. After joining FBLA as a Freshman, she has served as her local chapters Historian and Vice President before running for state office. Sam has placed first at the SLC twice for Parliamentary Procedure and Help Desk and she attended the NLC for the past two years, which furthered her love for the organization, as she was exposed to so many different opportunities that FBLA could provide. Her favorite part of FBLA is the amazing friendships she has developed as well as the variety of knowledge she has gained through competitions.   Sam is so excited to work with her amazing officer team to leave an impactful legacy on this amazing organization!

Amari Elazier
​REGION 4 VICE PRESIDENT

Amari Elazier, is a sophomore at Dr. Henry A Wise Jr. High School in Prince George’s County. He is honored to be your 2021-2022 Region 4 Vice President. When Amari joined FBLA he felt at home, everyone welcomed him with open arms.  Before, the pandemic Amari made it to the SLC in personal finance. He didn’t place at the SLC but he still felt that it was still an honor to make it. Amari is in his 10th-grade year and he is the treasurer for his FBLA chapter. Amari enjoys watching and playing sports. Amari plays basketball in his free time and his favorite basketball team is the Golden State Warriors. He also enjoys watching football and his favorite football team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Amari can’t wait to fulfill his duties of being the Region 4 Vice President.

SINCE 1957
Maryland FBLA was established in April 1957, with the first chartered chapter at Forest Park High School in Baltimore. There are five administrative regions in Maryland FBLA, each headed by a Regional Vice President. In January, each region hold a competitions to decide the members eligible to compete at the State Leadership Conference in the spring. Members placing first, second, third, or fourth in their competitive event at the SLC are eligible to compete at the National Leadership Conference hosted by National FBLA-PBL.
