Check out the NEW MDFBLA Financial Literacy Challenge!
This year we are launching a new set of financial literacy competitions, one synchronous and the other asynchronous. We are so excited to announce these programs and hope that you all find them to be meaningful experiences. Winners of each challenge will be recognized at the State Leadership Conference.
Event A: Financial Literacy Presentations
Interested teams from the same chapter will register to compete in this challenge. All registered teams will be assigned a financial literacy topic like credit and loans to research and create a presentation about. This is all done in preparation for a live Zoom meeting where all participating teams will give their presentations. This meeting will be open to all participants and non-participant MDFBLA members to learn about all of the financial literacy topics. All presentations will be judged by a panel to determine the top 3 teams to be awarded at SLC.

Event B: Financial Literacy Test / Scavenger Hunt
A google form will be published and remain open up until February. Individuals will be able to complete this financial literacy test using any resources that they can find; online research is encouraged. Questions will be framed in the context of an overarching fictional situation. The final question will be an opportunity to give detailed financial advice to an individual given very specific fictional circumstances. The top 5 highest scoring individuals and chapters, on average, will be awarded. Chapters with the most members participating will also receive honors.
